Florencia Pita renews the meaning and contemporary use of the word “like” to work towards a reconciliation between architecture and our daily rituals. This expression, omnipresent today, modifies the very meaning of the word “to like”—now banal and calculable—making it a tool to evaluate our relationship with the world. According to Pita, architecture needs more “likes”: “It must develop towards the banality of taste at its purest, diverse styles, and eccentricity.”
This work was created to be part of the collective installation "The Architectural Beast" (2019) curated by Hernan Diaz Alonso.
