"This installation bets on the value of intuition, of the imperfect and the seemingly chaotic. The forms that compose it also have the power to awaken our imagination because they are not recognizable a priori and they force us to leave aside the rational judgments so as to enter into experimentation and play.
The apparent chaos nevertheless has an underlying logic since the parts that compose it are referenced in the natural world. Nature teaches us that most of the time, complex systems and irregular geometries are more efficient than the simple systems of pure geometries to which we are accustomed.
Supercluster is an installation composed by 90 pieces of 16mm pvc tubes bended with heat and joined by flanges forming groupings under an experimental and intuitive work methodology, without a predetermined route. The lobed forms are designed by tracing microphotographs of radiolarian skeletons.
The system of production allows the interaction of the body with the forms, before the groups are united into a single structure. The final installation remains suspended at different heights of the ground so that people of any size can get inside and stay in a scenario away from everyday life, letting their imagination run wild."
