Fabian Marcaccio’s work is marked by the integration of the machine in pictorial practice. From early 1990s collagraphy to today’s 3D printing, he tries to produce pictorial gestures that would be impossible to produce manually or mechanically: “this type of expressive use of digital printing offers a renewed field of experimentation. A way of controlling, from the inside, the flow of painting, to guide it with an extreme precision, and achieve a way of painting the unpaintable. (F. Marcaccio).
