This work is a 3D rendering based on a competition design created by the agency in 2017 for an Argentinian museum. Oscillating between real and fantastic, this strange image offers a reflection on the concept of reality in architecture. The discipline does, in fact, deal with multiple realities: although construction is real—like drawings, models, or photographs—a 3D rendering, on the other hand, is not real in itself but an abstraction or simulation of the real. In this sense, according to the architects, it puts in questions the role of media and technology in architectural design.
This work was created to be part of the collective installation "The Architectural Beast" (2019) curated by Hernan Diaz Alonso.
