This tower façade was generated by the transformation of the scan of a downtown Los Angeles building by means of several kinds of artificial intelligence. Their lack of consideration for architectural conventions creates a complex field, which may be read like an elevation or a landscape, very deep or very shallow. The result is a composite, disturbing image, at once strange and familiar, which refers as much to the history of architecture as to its own history.
